Dear Fans
How have you been keeping?
Just a little of the way through 2015, and it has already posed many changes and challenges. So let’s chat for while…
It’s not without consistency that success follows, no matter if it rains then snows. You just have to keep on adjusting and moving towards your goal. You only see obstacles when you’re tired and honestly had enough. So STOP. Take as long as you need to catch your breath. Nobody said it was going to be easy, but as long as you know you have the power to do whatever it is you believe you can do…nothing will ever stop you, except yourself. And we all know that ain’t gonna happen in this space!
I have been performing and songwriting all my life. With this journey there have been a million and one dues I’ve had to pay and that’ll continue until I die. There is no comfort blanket, no silver spoons. It’s all about constant drive, hard work, improving your talent, maintenance, knowing who the cowboys are and giving your all regardless. I’ve stood on stages playing with people that have hated working with me. I’ve had bar staff run me down to the audience whilst the crowd are going nuts for more. I’ve had boyfriends, family, friends and even old bosses tell me to give up and get a day job. But it is this simple. It’s not their choice.
The strength involved packing your bags, uprooting your life for a single dream in however many countries and having the courage to play your own song is thrilling, tough and so satisfying – I wouldn’t change it for the world. So here I am finally in South Africa to do this. It’s been almost 2 years building an entire new client list; yes I am THAT chick who picks up the phone and builds a spreadsheet of key industry contacts. Creating a band, a show, writing music…working on improving a product to make a difference in the world of entertainment and give it to you. When you have your own business, it’s an eye-opener, game changer. I started with just a clipboard walking around after my gigs in London talking to the audience, asking for feedback, and eventually given their email address. I’ve built this from singing a song and writing your name down. That’s what it takes, that’s how much energy you need. Everything is on an incredible path called ‘You’re On Your Way, Goldin’.
The only reason I know this is because of you. All I’ve ever said is if I can touch one person, then that will be a great start, and it doesn’t stop. I have you to remind me daily of what you believe. I see everyone’s comments, shares, likes, radio requests and selfie moments we’ve created.
Sooooo…the BIG announcement today…ta-dah! We rebuilt a website based on what you’ve said and captured, because you are what makes the real difference, you keep me inspired! It’s here where you can request your favourite song on radio, read about the experiences of the countries I’ve performed in and upload a pic of your greatest moment with me. We’ll then choose the No.1 GoldinFan and post it up :>

Thank you very, very much my GoldinFans – you are the finest fairy gold-dust I need that keeps me motivated, bouncing back for more. I cannot even begin to explain how grateful I am to you, because of your genuine, unending appreciation. You are the biggest reward! This God-given gift is my message through music to better everything confrontational, sad, pressurised, nasty and sometimes plain old, normal. When you know the impact you make with a product, it’s your calling, your responsibility to share that, with the goodness of your heart, body and soul. That is what I will always do.BIGthanks to the team at Beri Creative run by my dear friend Charine Els who created and designed the new look. Love your work!
Sometimes the train moves slower than you feel it should be. However everything is exactly how it’s meant to be. This is where I am and here’s to where I am going…be sure to keep following :>
