Dearest Fans
There’s something about having a dream. Believing in that dream without doubt, just a vision as to how to fulfill it. No one understands how you think you can achieve it, but you know you can. Every part of your soul feels that burning passion to bring that dream to life. It is an unstoppable calling.
I have moved countries on several occasions chasing my dream, which finally led me back to South Africa, my home country, to bring it to life. Creating a unique product and building partnerships are an essential part of the process. I started a conversation with a not-so-great product, was first told “no not today”, then something, I’m not sure what, but it changed a mind and a door opened.
Whilst constantly trying to create this mind-blowing product, I sent updates here and there. Finally I said right “now is the time to invest and be serious.” That was last year. I worked with a brilliant producer, keyboard player and friend Stoyan Stoyanov to help me put it together. It was an incredible amount of hard work, recording between shows to finalise the project. By last July I had a fabulous mini-album to showcase my new songs to a few people. I wanted to go back to South Africa to do this, I’d been observing the progress from afar and it really excited me. Most of all I knew who I really could visualise working with. In my industry belief in an artist is like finding gold dust. When someone can see beyond everything on paper and still knows there is more, you know you are blessed to be chosen and given a once in a lifetime chance to give your all. They see your vision with even better ideas and means to help you “reach for the stars, whilst your feet are on the ground”.
That person is David Gresham and this is a very special moment. I have such wonderful-wonderful news that last Friday, 04/04/2014, David Gresham Records announced the signing of me to their record and publishing company. It is the start of a phenomenal journey ahead, with many many zillions of hard-working hours to create a mind-blowing record under the mastermind Andrew Mitchley and his brilliant team, which I can’t wait to start working on. I am very, very thankful to have this opportunity.

I really am so overwhelmed as I write this with tears of joys in my eyes. Suddenly everything I planned and prepared makes sense. So share this moment of joy with me, before the real nitty-gritty hard work begins.
