You see glittery-polished-styling, a perfectly-produced, visually-consuming artist walk out on stage for just a moment. Just one spotlight, standing sparkling. Behind that is decades of hours of hundreds of people’s input creating that one moment for you. All I see is everyone that counts for this moment. Music is the marriage of creativity.

Helloooo my wonderful Fans, howzit going!

That’s the thing about creating a product, it takes people. All working closely together with all ideas fusing, clashing, flowing until the right bright light appears. We cannot do this without each other. I need you as much as you need me. THAT is what I love…all the different mixes of personalities from whatever country jamming together all in the name of beautiful music. It’s a Yipppppeeee tick-in-the-box for me. I am very blessed and grateful for the massive opportunities behind, here and on the way – it’s all part of the marvellous journey.

The last couple of months have been long nights of songwriting and days of studio time with David Gresham Records and rehearsing with my band plus a short stint at Barnyard Theatres. Then of course there’s the not-so-glamorous paperwork, building and managing clients…oh the admin! And I sincerely love it all :> So here are some glimpses as to what I’ve been up to.

David Gresham Records Studio Sessions are my favourite moments right now as this is what I have been working towards whilst gigging endlessly for years on end with a stack of songs waiting to be heard. David, Andrew, Kyle & Ziggy are the best team to be part of…I count my lucky stars everyday and night! There’s TONS of work ahead until the record is ready but it’s glorious, glorious, glorious – am I brimming with happiness, hell yeah baby! Thank you, thank you, thank you :>

Working with my new band is fabulous. Finding the right calibre of musicians for the repertoire I perform is not a piece of cake and everybody has their own project, which is really important to respect and collectively all work out what is best for each person. We recently had a gig at Katzy’s and Dave said well I think we just blew the roof off..quite rightly so, we did! These amazing guys are: David Cousins on keys for our duos and band shows (Jersey Boys plus a zillion other credits speciality in arranging which is equivalent to rocket science), Michael Bester on guitar (Mango Groove’s Guitarist), Doulton Robson on Bass (CherryKab), David Nilsson on drums (Jesse Clegg’s Drummer) and thanks Matt for organising Tsepo on sound saving the gig (BIG THANKS – like MASSIVE!). There’s plenty more to come working with these stars! Here’s us at Katzy’s, Rusty Lady & Thaba including a couple of arranged stage-hijacks (with management of course) :> Thanks to my clients for booking us, let’s keep rocking!

A couple of weeks ago, an amazing artist singing in #StrictlyNo1s for Barnyard Theatre, Tanya Duley, injured her knee pulling all the ligaments so I was asked to fill in for three weeks. I panicked when I heard her sing – err you want me to replace her?! Let alone the dance routines, learning those overnight…wahaha these nerves!!! BUT…What a fantastic, energetic show and I am very proud to work with such talent :> Been a lot of fun in the last 2 weeks, as you can see below….

Special thanks to Duck Chowles the main man making it happen, Ashleigh Bradford his sidekick SuperStar, Marlene in wardrobe for whipping up new outfits in a day…then the performers Colin & Ralph – reunited again love your work, Marv I love your voice so much I forget my part, Lee ensuring everyone is where they’re meant to be (not me of course wahahahahahahahaaa! #sarcasmofnotehehe), Caelee the sweetie-pie with unending patience, Fresh you’re always keeping it real so awesome working with ya, Petro you rock, Charine always shining, then Jerryn, Flash and Stefan – I can’t choose between you so will take you all, heeheehee! Thank you all for your patience in teaching and reminding little Miss Blondie what I’m doing next! I think I finally remember it all after the 48hrs of overnight drilling plus rolling with it (that bloody box-step hahaha!!!) :> Such a blast! To all the Rivonia BY sound, lighting, staff and audiences what a fantastic-super time we’ve had, thank you for all the love, right back at ya!!! There’s only this week left, so book tickets today: http://www.barnyardtheatre.co.za/show.aspx?sid=385

Apparently the growth of Miss T is going well. Since last year June I stopped a marketing campaign at 7,000 and now the fanbase has increased by another 10,000 fans just by ‘Page Suggestions’. I have a not-so-secret fascination watching this and seeing where you all come from. It’s pretty awesome (I’m such a geek!) with a total fanbase of 19,324 you wonderful people, it’s pretty cool hey! But seriously thank YOU for sharing, keep it going! #fancystats

Next few months will definitely be bringing new challenges, incredible shows and focussed energy on further songwriting and stagelife working with awesome teams of people to create musical magic. South Africa is new territory for me and it takes a lot of time setting up shop, meeting new people and proving yourself constantly to secure trust and bookings! The learning curve of that is great, nerve-wrecking and exciting.

Massive thanks to my family and friends for their incredible support they’ve given me during this time, it hasn’t been all plain sailing, even though I try to be consistently positively-up on the surface. Thank you for picking me up and bringing me through some tricky, hair-pulling times – love you sooo very much xxx

The most productive people are those that believe in ‘WE’. It’s only with ‘I’ that jealousy, greed, selfishness and hatred breeds, and it ain’t good. So remember to appreciate, encourage and empower each other, as we are indeed in this together. A smiling group changes just about everything :> and yes it works, it changed my attitude and life.

Have a brilliant week, until we meet again :>

Love & light
Miss T
:>
