Current mood:blessed
Afternoon
Hope you’re well…?!
Many thanks to all for the amazing night at The Pigalle Club on Monday and welcome to the new fans that wrote such stunning comments about my showcase. I just loved playing with the houseband, they’re phenomenal!!!
So…reflecting back on this year, all I can say is Santa filled my stocking with goodies a long time ago and it’s thanks to your everlasting belief that I’m still standing. Lisa Theunissen, Live Gig Review from the Halfmoon Putney By Peter Coulston
I have been trying to catch this lady again after enjoying her solo performance at the Bedford in March, but either I had to be somewhere else or she was playing out of town. Well, it was worth the wait, as she was certainly on form on Thursday. Her vocals were very impressive back in March, but I don’t remember her sounding this good; her voice is not just powerful, it has the level of control that lets her excel on country, rock and soul numbers. “Sweep Me Off My Feet” and “Tell Me How To Love” are great examples of alternative country and she rocked solidly on “Take a Back Seat, Boy”. She is also building some impressive soul credentials in her set, not least with a searing version of the classic “I Just Wanna Make Love to You”. Her band were spot on and the whole set just buzzed with the obvious joy that this very eye catching lady derives from performing. Remember the name (pronounced Tennyson), this girl is here to stay.
Last orders?! You can find me here, here and here…seek me out…
