It’s been forever since I have been in touch. How are you keeping?
Things have been up and down, guess that is why I have been quiet. It is not easy to keep the constant buzz going, when PROs and DSPs are taking huge cuts and sometimes all of my cut. So I have had a long time to think about what I want to do next.
Fact is; I love writing music, I love producing music and I love sharing my music with people that have followed me from the very first song “Sweep Me Off My Feet” and MASSIVE shout out to press that generously speak so much love into my career as a songwriter and performer. And to those I have accumulated along my lil journey from South Africa across to the UK, then Europe, Asia, Africa and Middle East. It is a beautiful story to tell, as long as I leave out the hardships, the many nos and the non-payment. BUT (big but) your unending support is much greater than that, and I thank you SO much for all of it. Okay, there’s no time to be too much of a Mona-Lisa today, because I always say, “if you’re unhappy, then make the changes to better it, for the bestest version of you”.
Memory lane…
Do you remember the days of me walking around with a clipboard, chatting to you at my first showcases at The Kashmir Klub and The Bedford?! Perhaps you even grabbed a physical CD I’d printed off (circa 2002), before I had grown-up sleeves printed of “HerStory” in 2008, haha! Well I haven’t forgotten you and how much it has meant over the years that you’ve stuck it out with this indie artist still giving her all! If you weren’t there then, but are here now, trust me that means just as much, I promise you! Long-story short, I would love us to have that organic sort of meet-cute again, where we talk about music and what’s behind the lyric, and simply-put a LOT less filters! Don’t you?
So…drumroll…I have decided to take back the power of my music by providing it directly to GoldinFans. With that comes the announcement of a new song out this Friday “How Love Can Start” and album “Something I Used To Wear” out on 30th May.
However…because we’re doing it the way we want to do things, you will have it way before anyone else on a digi-platform. Let’s face it, this album has been released slowly since 2020, so you quite frankly deserve it now, more than ever!

Today, yup as in right now, you can download it directly from my GoldinShop. It’s the same quality, if not better without the DSPs compression, and you can play it on any of your devices, anytime and without an added monthly subscription fee.
I have also added a GoldinFans Exclusive, which is the collection of all the music I have written, including the new album’s songs at no cost :> In case you are a streamer, don’t own a copy yet or just wanna support this songwriter taking back her rights – because it really is a thing, unfortunately – here I am, all yours!
This is just the first step I am taking, to be more accessible to my GoldinFans. There’s tons more I have planned. But no.1 was giving new music to you, and to be able to do that more on my terms and yours. Let’s go forward to share that space together…

As well as that, talk to me, tell me what you love and don’t, just tell me. Because I miss the days of joining your table after what we thought was a hiii-walk-on-by, instead turning into a long-night’s convo about music making the world right, right?!
So I say it out loud…
Don’t get me wrong, I still love my DSPs and obviously my music will be beamed up there available on all the usual suspects…It’s just that I would like to benefit most from the works I create…not much to ask really! Feel free to double-up on your pre-saves and playlisting in the meantime too, please and thank you :>
For now, let’s get this baby on the road and in a couple of days…I have some more juicy news for you…
