Current mood:accomplished

Hello, hello

Hope you are well.

Well things for me have been a little unsettling of late and as the questions keep rolling in, I guess it’s time to say…

A few months ago I was jumping for joy nattering on about the next big thing that was gonna happen in October and how great it was all going to be. However, I had the hiccup of meeting Mr Mean, an industry cowboy, yes one of the sharks that all musicians are warned about…and when I realised this, I was left with a month of no gigs ahead and no single being released. It’s been very disheartening to say the least, affected every area of my life and the band’s, especially being self-managed it’s been pretty tough picking up the pieces to keep up the momentum and my promise to you.

It’s left me questioning whether I’ve got what it takes, made me think long and hard about the direction and risks I took this year and whether it was worth it, and was left standing at a crossroad with arrows pointing in all directions. I’ve needed time to get my mindset back on track, make things right and stand tall again. And well the only way I know how to do that is dig in and bounce back! But as with all setbacks, come changes.

So after the announcement of being a band, well I’ve actually gone back to being a solo artist. Charlie, Pete and Jon will remain my session musicians but I will also work with other musicians whilst gigging and recording. All gigs will still be the same line-up for this year and from next year new changes will come into effect.

I’ve started writing and co-writing tracks for my next album, cherry picking songs for recording. Dates for the previews and release will be announced when it’s all ready.

Sorry I didn’t tell you sooner but I was worried how this would impact on everything and it’s all actually still massively positive and moving in the right direction because I didn’t stop doing what I do, even with that jolt of lightning shifting the energy ever so slightly!!! So…onwards and upwards as they say :>

And, working on that positive vibe I’ve been incredibly busy securing some regular spots where you can catch me as well as the band play. Check it out and c’mon down!
